A helical gear forging process, a special forward extrusion process, was simulated using the intelligent remeshing function. Effective strain and the mesh system were shown in the figure and animation.

A steering pinion forging process, a special backward and forward extrusion process, was simulated using the intelligent remeshing function. Effective strain and the mesh system were shown in the figure and animation.  

A roll cam forging process was simulated with emphasis on predicting formation of gear shape using the intelligent remeshing function. 

Comparison of tetrahedral and hexahedral elements was made for the CV-joint cold forging process, which shows an acceptable similarity.
