An automatic multi-stage cold forging process of a precision shaft was simulated using a rigid-plastic finite element method and a fully automatic simulation function. Through the whole simulation, any user intervention was not made. The figure and animation show the damage value calculated by the normalized Cockroft-Latham damage model.
