Simulation of Ball Stud Cold Forging Process

AFDEX is widely used to optimize the design of ball stud cold forging processes.
Even CAE beginners can easily design a ball stud multi-stage forging process using AFDEX.

 The simulation for a ball stud with cavity in the head was conducted using a fully automated feature. The effective strain was shown in the figure.
