Article 1: Purpose
Thank you for visiting AFDEX. This site has been established to provide information about AFDEX products, and these terms clarify the regulations regarding the use of the AFDEX website (hereinafter referred to as "the Site").

Article 2: Definitions
The key terms used in these terms are defined as follows:
① User: Refers to individuals who agree to these terms and use the services.
② Operator: Refers to the entity that has established and operates the website.
③ Service: Refers to all information and functions provided on the AFDEX website.

Article 3: Rules Outside of These Terms
The Operator may announce operational policies as necessary, and in cases where these terms overlap with the operational policies, the operational policies will take precedence.

Article 4: Application for Service Use
Users must provide the necessary information requested by the Site (such as name, affiliation, etc.). Users who impersonate others or provide false information cannot assert any rights related to the use of the Site.

Article 5: Privacy Policy
The Site and the Operator strive to protect the personal information provided by users. Matters regarding the protection of users' personal information will comply with relevant laws and the privacy policy established by the Site. However, the Operator is not responsible for any information disclosed due to the user's negligence. The Operator may review and submit user data to relevant authorities if the user posts illegal content that violates public morals or national security upon request from those authorities.

Article 6: Obligations of the Operator
① The Operator must promptly address valid user opinions or complaints.
② The Operator will endeavor to repair or restore services promptly if there are malfunctions or losses in the equipment necessary for providing the Site. However, if unavoidable circumstances arise, the operation of the Site may be temporarily suspended.

Article 7: Obligations of the User
Users must not engage in the following acts and may be subject to penalties under relevant laws for any such actions:
① Registering false information as requested by the Site.
② Impeding the use of the Site by others or misappropriating information.
③ Impersonating the Site’s management, staff, or associates.
④ Infringing upon the rights or interests of the Site or any third party.
⑤ Collecting, storing, or disclosing personal information of others without their consent.
⑥ Engaging in acts that can objectively be judged to be related to criminal activity.
⑦ Any other acts that violate relevant laws.

Article 8: Service Use Hours
① The Service is generally available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, unless specific operational or technical disruptions occur. However, the Site may temporarily suspend services for scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or replacements, and such suspensions will be announced in advance on the Site.
② The Site may also temporarily or permanently suspend services without prior notice under the following circumstances:
-Emergency system checks, upgrades, replacements, or malfunctions.
-Natural disasters, power outages, or other force majeure events.
-Situations where telecommunications services are suspended by the telecommunications provider as defined in relevant laws.
-High traffic levels that hinder normal service use.
③ In the case of service suspension as per the previous clause, the Site will notify users through announcements. However, if the service disruption is due to circumstances beyond the Site's control, prior notice may not be possible, and a post-notice will be provided instead.

Article 9: Compensation for Damages
① All civil and criminal liabilities arising from the use of the Site lie primarily with the user.
② The Site will not be liable for damages incurred by users due to force majeure events or damages caused by the user's own intent or negligence.

Article 10: Disclaimer
① The Operator is exempt from liability for any loss of expected benefits from the Service or damages arising from the selection or use of service materials.
② The Operator will not be responsible for damages incurred by users due to system failures, third-party attacks, or other uncontrollable force majeure situations arising from management, inspection, maintenance, or replacement processes of servers and equipment, as well as the dissemination of computer viruses for which no countermeasures have been developed by reputable research institutions or security companies.

These terms shall take effect from November 1, 2024.
